Office Manager celebrates 9 years!

JENN

Where does the time go?

I have been truly blessed to have my wonderful office manager, Jennifer, with me for NINE years now! That’s just crazy (in a good way). Jennifer took over the office at a very pivotal time in my history.  Jenn is a very loyal and diligent worker that puts in the time and gets the job done while going the extra mile when needed.  She anticipates problems quite well and is a very calming force in my life.  And I may never be able to thank her enough.

Boston Was Great! But It’s Time to get Back to Work

Boston - St. Bethlehem Dental CareWow! Boston was great!

This was the first time I was a delegate for my state for the Academy of General Dentistry. Lots of meetings: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and even Sunday! Saturday I got to take a class. Friday I taught nitrous oxide to a group of about 60-70 dentists and team members to get wonderful reviews. There was so much history with nitrous oxide and Boston I felt quite honored to present there.

Boston is a very walkable city with great food and much history but I’m glad to be home. There is nothing like sleeping in your own bed! Also, the drivers are a bit more aggressive and the cost of property and parking is outrageous.

Now it’s time to get back to serving the people I care about and in the spare time, work on the tasks I have to complete after the meeting.

A Lecture on Nitrous Oxide

I got some great news yesterday!

I will be speaking again on a national stage on the topic of nitrous oxide. I spoke last year at the American Dental Association annual meeting in Washington, DC last November. Next month, I’ll be in Boston to speak to the Academy of General Dentistry on that same topic.

Nitrous Oxide Lecture - St. Bethlehem Dental CareI always like to get my lectures and presentations peer reviewed. Many people don’t but I feel that if I’m given a stage to present any topic, I should be as good as the most recognized authorities. The great news is that I had my lecture peer reviewed by one of the authors of “The Handbook for Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen Sedation,” who said she was “invigorated by the presentation” and called it a “fabulous nitrous oxide lecture!” You couldn’t see me, but I could feel my face flush. I could think of no higher compliment from such a highly regarded clinician. Then, I was told by a person who works for a dental supply company that I am a “key opinion leader.” Me? When did that happen? I’m just a guy who shows up and tries hard.

To all, I humbly say, “thank you.” I can only hope the attendees at the AGD annual meeting are likewise impressed. I’ll keep you posted…
